Orange Velour is a dance-groove rock band from Johnstown, NY, blending exploratory jam energy with progressive, psychedelic, and art-rock influences. Their sound pulls from the improvisational lift of Phish, the cinematic psychedelia of Pink Floyd, the oddball complexity of Frank Zappa, the darker rhythmic weight of Tool, and the frenetic prog-rock edge of The Mars Volta — all filtered into a high-energy, groove-forward live band format. Orange Velour plays danceable progressive groove rock — part jam band, part psychedelic art-rock, with heavy rhythms, weird turns, and big live-show energy.
